Top 10 Instagram Reels Tips and Tricks | DigiDir

In Social Media Marketing Instagram Reels is a new option to boost your branding and marketing.

Initially, Instagram started as a photo-sharing service. Gradually, it added video support, Instagram Stories, Direct Messages, and more to cover a wider audience. Instagram has rolled out its widely anticipated Reel feature to the U.S. Including made available in more than 50 countries.

Not only does Instagram offer massive exposure and audiences for the reels from the start, but it allows you to create the right content with all the head-turning filters and effects that come with the app already.

This post will talk about the top 10 Instagram tips and tricks to get you started.

1. Add Great Music to Instagram Reels

Music is an important part of creating an attention-grabbing reel. Instagram is offering tons of ready-to-go music clips to choose from. Simply tap on the music icon and browse through hundreds of music clips well categorized in the browse menu. The best part is that you can choose exactly which part of the music goes on the reels. When you select music to add to the reel, Instagram will select a music protein with live lyrics on the screen.

2. Play with Effects

Effects are the heart of the Instagram experience. Depending on the mood, you can add silly faces, party lights, green screens, and choose from dozens of other effects for a perfect Instagram reel. Tap the Effects icon in the reels menu and scroll through the plethora of effects.

3. Set Time for Video

Instagram Reels allows us to create videos up to 15 seconds long. But it is not necessary to increase the video by 15 seconds every time. You can also make a 5 second or 10-second video. Tap on the timer icon and set the timer from 2 seconds to 15 seconds.

4. Align Captured Video

This is a thoughtful addition by Instagram. If the captured video looks shaky or blurry, you can use the Align option to straighten things out. After taking the video, you will see the fifth option in the reels bar. Tap on it and make adjustments accordingly.

5. Replay Instagram Reels

After taking a video, it is always advisable to finalize it to see how it turned out. You can tap on the back arrow and preview the video before sharing it with the world.

6. Spice up your Instagram reels with stickers and text

Instagram allows you to add various stickers, emojis, and text before sharing the reels with the world. Adding the time, date, location or the right emoji can increase the appeal of your first reel on Instagram.

7. Replace Cover Before Sharing Reel

Before sharing the reels, you can tap the Cover option in the Share menu and select the correct cover photo to represent the reels.

8. Multiple Sharing Options

Instagram offers various options for sharing reels. You can either share it as a story (in that case, the reel will be deleted after 24 hours), share to feed, or simply keep it on your account and access it from the Explore menu. Users can also save reels as drafts.

9. USE AUDIO FROM OTHER REELS

Like TikTok, you can tap on Music and select 'Use Audio' if you find a song or audio clip. Now the reels menu is set to use the song you selected and you cannot change the audio.

10. Protect Your Instagram Reels and Original Audio

You should keep in mind that when you share your Instagram reels anyone can see and share them. Your reels can appear in places like Explore and Effects, Hashtags, and even audio pages.

Use Instagram Reel Like a Pro

Many companies are trying to replicate the success formula of TikTok. And I must say, Instagram's execution is spot on. That said, it's hard to say whether or not Reels will be able to join in on TikTok-savvy users.
